We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the status, welfare and professionalism of Enlisted members and their families in the Maryland National Guard by supporting legislation that provides adequate staffing, pay, benefits, entitlements, equipment and installations for the National Guard.

What has EANGUS done?
MDEANGUS and EANGUS have fought for benefits that increase the quality of life for Maryland National Guard Soldiers, Airmen, and their Families
- Changed the federal definition of the word “Veteran” to include National Guard and Reserve Retirees.
- TRICARE Reserve Select for federal technicians.
- Expanded VA Home Loan eligibilitiy for Title 32 service members.
- Provided protections & benefits for National Guard members supporting the COVID-19 mission.

State Sponsored Life Insurance
$1,000 of FREE life insurance
The State Sponsored Life Insurance (SSLI) program provides group term life insurance exclusively for actively serving members of the Army and Air National Guard organizations and their dependents. The program is derived from United States Public Law 93-289, May 24, 1974, to encourage persons to join and remain in the National Guard.
These states formed a Basic SSLI pool in order to have exactly the same program offerings and to share risk among the group. The pool is a way for state associations to share in program growth and income which allows them to support their members more effectively. Each year SSLI GPS (Group Pooling States) holds an annual state association meeting to review the previous year’s pool results and plan for the following year.

While the National Guard takes care of the citizens of America, the We Care for America Foundation (WCFA) takes care of our Natioal Guard men and women, and their families. WCFA offers S.A.R.G.E Grants, Disaster Relief Funds and Interest-Free Loans.
